After 5 days in Los Angeles, I booked my first gig. It's a free show at the downstairs acoustic lounge at the Viper Room. It looks like a good lineup of songwriters, and I'll be playing a 30 min set at 8:45 sharp! 21 up kids!
It's only a 30 minute slot for us, so come early. The other bands playing are VOZ-ELEVEN, Heavy Set, Idiots Like Me & Guests. This is my first show with Afton, so I'm hoping for a good turn out. This is the annual chili cook-off party. Come down and stuff your face with free food, have a drink and listen to some tunes. The Outback Saloon is one of the only bars that sports a genuine Rock Solomon CD in their Jukebox, and that makes them a favorite. We're going to "mellow sexy good" it up right proper. My Ensemble plays, then Randy Stindt takes the reigns to finish off the party with his kick-ass band 'Love State'.

They have separately ventilated smoking room, plenty of great libations, premium cigars, and a large outdoor patio. You will be listening to hand drums, dual acoustic guitars, some beautiful three-part harmony singing, and maybe even a little piano & soprano sax... It's a nice place to take a sexy date, or pick one up.

I just hope that I don't stumble in, blacked out from the night before, slobbering all over myself and cursing about ex girlfriends while I fumble around looking for something to light my clove with. And I hope I don't then throw up on stage in the middle of a song while trying to hit an off-pitch high note just before slipping on the puke and falling into the web-surfing-coffee-hyped-morning-person audience who will hopefully mistake it for modern "performance art" ...

The last time I played at JJ's Corner, I found it to be a cool place, run by cool people. They have great munchies, free Wifi, hot coffee, and a good vibe. Come down and here the acoustic trio jam out some sexy music.

The infamous Jaman Cochrine has planned the most epic music and dance event of all time. It's a live show-party-film documentary. I'm not going to try to describe it, but I get to put a few people on my guest list, so let me know if you want to come.
There will be dancing, food, booze, women, music, entertainers, and me.

What happens when you take Alternative Rock & Vintage Jazz, and cram them into the same song? You get Alt-Jazz-Pop music. Or at least, that's what I'm calling it for now. Folsom Coffee & the Dr. Rock Solomon Entertainment Productions Incorporated Music Project, or DRSEPIM as I like to call it, have teamed up to bring you, (yes you) (and you too...) an evening of music, coffee, people, good vibes and maybe some scones, to kick off the first day of August, this August 1st. The Rock Solomon Project features 'The Rob, (AKA batman)' on Drums, and Dr. Rock on guitar/voice. A famous guest bass player might show up, but we can't say yet... See you there.... yes?
